Hot

Hey readers,

My word of the week is:

I will be honest I am not a fan of humid weather and was it hot on Saturday. We did go for a walk,
and park in the heat so spend a lot of it hiding in the shade 😂
I much prefer the cooler breeze that came on Sunday.

I helped my son do his homework and it was about when he had a day at school called special values day.

He needed to write about that day. He said his favourite part of it was stroking the dog as it felt like a silk throw on him, which I just loved that description and wanted to share it in this post.

We had a meeting with the psychologist about ds1 and low and behold they said there are some things but not enough to take action. To be honest, didn't expect much cause let's be frank now as school has a tight budgetx and my son doesn't display overt behaviour at school.

My youngest went on a another school trip this week. I swear he goes on so many and has another one lined up next week. He is happy though as he got to play at a play village where it all pretends to play.

Hope you have had a good week.

Cheers for reading X

  1. I'm the opposite. I love the warm weather. I think your son's description of a silk throw is very perceptive. Sorry that the meeting for your eldest hasn't set anything in motion. Most people have to keep pushing, from what I understand. Lucky lad going on all those school trips. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. #wotw

  2. My Son has his first assessment in 11 days and I'm not sure how it's going to go. He is very disruptive at school though. I have never been a lover of hot weather but I find now I'm sick it does actually make me feel better. I love your son's description of stroking the dog. Thanks for linking up to #wotw

  3. It has been so hot but I think it's been bearable. The wind has been helpful keeping it a bit cooler. I still managed to get sunburnt over the weekend. Oops.
Well done your son with writing about the Special Values Day.
It is frustrating when school budgets don't cover any extra help that children need. Ugh.
    Have a great weekend x

  4. I love the hot weather but am aware it’s not every body’s cup of tea. I can’t believe the non diagnosis? Kids feelings should always come before budgets it’s just not fair. And I agree bogs do make you feel calm and happy x
